How you can withdraw your pension
How you can withdraw your pension varies a little depending on which occupational pension agreement you belong to. If you have been a government employee 2003 or later you belong to the pension agreement PA 16. If you ended your government employment before 2003 you belong to PA-91. On this page, we describe how you can withdraw your pension depending on which pension agreement you belong to.
Government employee 2003 or later (Pension agreement PA 16)
If you belong to PA 16 and are born before 1966 you can withdraw your pension at earliest from the age 61. If you are born 1966 or later you can withdrawn your pension from the age 63. The pension is paid for life unless you apply for an for a limited period.
You can withdraw:
- Kåpan Tjänste and Kåpan Extra for life or for a limited period of 5 to 20 years
- Kåpan Valbar and Kåpan Aktieval for life or for a limited period of 10 to 20 years
- Kåpan Flex for life or for a limited period of 1 to 20 years.
If your value is lower than a price base amount you can take out the pension as a lump sum.
Government employee before 2003 (Pension agreement PA 91)
You can withdraw your pension at earliest from the age 55. The pension is paid for life unless you apply for an for a limited period. The limited period can be 5 to 20 years or for at least three years if you withdrawn your pension until you turn 65.
If the value of the insurance is lower than a price base amount you can take out the pension as a lump sum.
